DESCRIPTION:JOB SHADOW DAY \nFact Sheet \nThe annual MCACHE Job Shadow Day is an opportunity for students enrolled in health care administration programs to experience a day in the life of a Healthcare Leader. \nThe Student Activities Committee coordinates the pairing of students with volunteer Healthcare Leaders and the job shadowing traditionally takes place during the months of February or March. \nHealthcare Leader volunteers are welcome from any health care organization and will be matched with students from our ACHE Higher Education Network (HEN) programs. \nThe following are objectives that can be met with your involvement in Job Shadow Day: \nStudent- \n*Learn about daily operations and how degree requirements relate to real world applications \n*Opportunity to explore the culture of the health system and learn about the organization *Participate and interact with experienced health care leaders on a personal level \n*Receive tips for succeeding in the workplace\, including necessary qualities and relationships needed \nHealthcare Leader- \n*Opportunity to learn about the next generation of Healthcare Leaders and make a difference in their career paths \n*Provide students with a Healthcare Leader level experience: itinerary for the day (meetings\, lunch\, networking\, tour of facility) \n*Discuss issues impacting health care systems and help student learn about the organization \n*Discuss student’s personal goals\, questions\, and challenges they see in health care \n*Promote careers in health care and increase pool of job candidates ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Are you a Healthcare Leader interested in participating? SUMMARY:Belle Isle Conservancy Park Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:The next Community Engagement event will be on Saturday\, August 19\, 2023 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am and we will be volunteering with Belle Isle Conservancy. The Belle Isle Conservancy’s mission is to protect\, preserve\, restore and enhance the natural environment\, historic structures\, and unique character of Belle Isle as a public park for the enjoyment of all – now and forever. Our group will be assisting with cleaning up the park by picking up litter and cleaning up the surrounding landscape. \n  \nWe encourage MCACHE members to bring family and friends as well. When registering please include the names of guests you will be bringing with you.
