SUMMARY:MCACHE with Inforum: Finding your way through mergers and acquisitions
DESCRIPTION:  \nMCACHE with Inforum: Finding your way through mergers and acquisitions \nDate: June 5\, 2025 \nTime: 7:30am – 9:30am (EST) \nRefreshments provided by Michigan Medicine \nLocation: Trinity Health \n20555 Victor Pkwy \nLivonia\, MI 48152 \n  \nM&A and Integrations – How do you find your way through mergers and acquisitions? \nThe only constant in life is change\, and no industry has experienced more change and upheaval in recent years than the healthcare industry. Hospitals have been caught up in a sweeping trend of consolidation and there has been much debate about whether consolidation in the healthcare sector will help or hurt patients\, with many arguing that fewer hospitals will result in higher prices and inferior care. Others argue the exact opposite. The forces driving change are varied\, as are the approaches hospitals are taking to adapt. One of the clearest consequences of change is the recent surge in merger and acquisition activity. As a leader in the healthcare industry\, executives must be prepared to lead their organization\, their employees\, and community through this transition. \nSchedule: \n7:30am-8:00am Networking \n8:00am-9:30am Panel Discussion \n  \nModerator: \nTravis Souza – Associate Chief Strategy Officer – Michigan Medicine \nPanelists: \nLiz Youngblood MBA\, RN\, FACHE | LinkedIn MBA\, RN\, FACHE\, SVP – COO Hospitals & Post Acute – East Region at Corewell Health \nRobin Damschroder – FACHE – President\, Value-Based Enterprise and CFO – Henry Ford \nAne Shirinian McNeil – SVP – Human Resources – Trinity Health (FL\, GA\, MI\, OH) \n*This program is awarded 1.5 hours of in-person education credits \n  \nREGISTER HERE!

SUMMARY:Value Based Care: Enhancing Provider and Payor Partnerships - March 5\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join MCACHE March 5th for an evening discussion on Value Based Care! \nAs reimbursements shift from volume based to value based\, healthcare organizations are becoming more responsible for providing the resources necessary to meet the needs of a given population. Aligning quality of care with the appropriate level of care and services becomes pertinent to healthcare organizations’ bottom line. \nBuilding and enhancing provider and payor partnerships is essential to providing this kind of care. As the acuity of care increases\, healthcare leaders must coordinate equitable care and properly address social determinants of health. The focus is no longer treating patients but proactively keeping patients out of the acute healthcare setting and providing care in the community. Federal requirements to meet HEDIS/HOS measure requirements paired with new payment models poses additional challenges for providers and payors alike. \nThis discussion will be centered around building partnerships with payors and providers that properly reduce costs while improving the quality and access of care and addresses federal requirements centered around preventing acute health issues for those suffering from chronic disease. \nEvent Schedule: \n5:30pm-6:30pm Registration/Networking/Refreshments & Appetizers \n6:30pm-8:00pm Program \nModerator: Mark Herzog (FACHE\, MHSA) – Faculty\, ACHE: Mark Herzog Bio \nSpeaker 1: Lori Aronson – VP\, Care Delivery Solutions: Lori Aronson Bio \nSpeaker 2: Mary Zuckerman (FACHE) – VP\, General Manager\, Honest Health: Mary Zuckerman Bio \nSpeaker 3: Courtland Keteyian (MD\, MBA\, MPH) – Interim President & CEO\, Mosaic Clinically Integrated Network: Courtland Keteyian Bio \nThis program has been approved for 1.5 hours of In-Person Education Credits. \nClick here to register!

SUMMARY:Virtual Program - Understanding Microaggressions in Healthcare
DESCRIPTION:Virtual Program – Understanding Microaggressions in Healthcare \nThursday\, December 5\, 2024 \nTime: 5:30 – 7:00 PM (EST) \n  \n$25 – ACHE Member \n$35 – Non-Member \n$10 – Student \n{Earn 1.5 ACHE virtual credits} \nYou must attend the entire time to earn the credits. \n  \nThis educational event addresses implicit bias in healthcare and promoting patient-centered care has become increasingly crucial considerations for doctors and health professionals. One aspect of implicit bias that often goes unnoticed but significantly impacts healthcare is microaggression. These subtle\, often unintentional acts of discrimination can perpetuate healthcare disparities and affect patient outcomes. Microaggressions in healthcare has far-reaching consequences for patients and health professionals alike. Factors such as depression\, job dissatisfaction\, and burnout have been associated with suboptimal care practices\, including medical errors. Ensuring team member well-being also affects employee engagement and retention\, an ever-increasing focus for organizations challenged with clinical workforce shortages. Therefore\, it is important for healthcare leaders and members of the team to identify microaggressions as well as understand the impact they have on the care of marginalized communities. \nMCACHE is honored to have four esteemed speakers joining us virtually for the event: \n  \n\nModerator – Dragana Spasevska\, MPH\, Senior Management Engineer\, Henry Ford Health\n\n  \nPanelists: \n\nDr. Blair Tinker\, EdD\, Special Programs Manager Office of Health Equity & Inclusion\, Michigan Medicine\nRachel M. Organizations are frequently asked to respond to legislative changes\, market fluctuations\, safety concerns\, and patient or staff demands. The success of major change implementation hinges on how it communicated and how it impacts individuals and processes in the organization. For change to truly be effective\, a leader must know how to effectively communicate the benefits\, minimize the barriers\, and describe the processes. Learn from your peers as they share approaches that were successful and those that impeded the change process. \n  \nRegister: https://bit.ly/4eal28s \n  \nThis program has been developed and is presented locally by MCACHE.
