Linda Larin, FACHE, MBA has served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Adult Hospitals (University Hospital and the Frankel Cardiovascular Center) at Michigan Medicine since September 2021 after serving as the Interim COO since February 2020. Prior to this role, she was the Associate Chief Operating Officer for Cardiovascular and Neurosciences Programs (2014 – 2020) and the Chief Administrative Officer of the Frankel Cardiovascular Center (from 2000 – 2017) at Michigan Medicine.
Ms. Larin is currently a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and Past Chair of the American Academy of Medical Administrators (AAMA). In 2015, she was named the Healthcare Executive of the Year by the American Academy of Medical Administrators (AAMA). She is the editor of “Inspired to Change – Improving Patient Care One Story at a Time,” published by the Health Administration Press based on patient and family-centered care released in November 2013. In 2015, an endowed administrative fellowship was established by a donor in her name (Linda R. Larin Fellowship Fund) to recognize her accomplishments and contributions to patient and family-centered care.
Ms. Larin has been at Michigan Medicine for 38 years and has held progressively responsible administrative positions within basic science research, Hospital Finance, department clinical operations, and hospital operations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
