Volunteer

The word volunteer is defined as “a person who undertakes or expresses a willingness to undertake a service or to do something” ; a similar definition could be used for leadership.

Enhance your membership experience by being actively engaged in YOUR MCACHE Chapter. Your strengths, skills and competencies are invaluable in helping to elevate the Healthcare Executive profession, and volunteering is a great leadership development tool.

MCACHE Committees

Audit and Finance – Responsible for the ongoing management, monitoring, and reporting of all chapter financial reports with generally acceptable accounting principles. This committee also prepares the annual budget under the direction of the Executive Committee.

Bylaws – Annual maintains, reviews, and revises the chapter Bylaws and the Chapter Leadership Manual

Career Development – Develops programs and strategies to assist the MCAHCE membership with career development. Promotes and assists with the advancement of members by earning the FACHE credential. 

Communications – Develops and implements communication that effectively informs chapter members and the local healthcare community about upcoming education, networking, and community service events. The committee produces a quarterly newsletter, maintains a website, and communicates information through social media. 

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice – Develops policies and initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive environment within MCACHE. The goal is to recognize the contributions and support the advancement of all from the healthcare field, regardless of race ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.

Emerging Leaders – Designed for students and early careerists, this committee focuses on organizing volunteering in the communities our health systems serve. The committee also organizes professional development and networking events exclusively for emerging healthcare leaders, and advancing MCACHE through collaboration. 

Membership – Develops strategies to increase MCACHE membership growth and retention. 

Programs – Responsible for planning, staging, and evaluating all membership educational and networking programs and to bring relevant programs to the local area.

Student Activities – Develops programming to interested health services management students and faculty, including and annual shadowing program and student case competition.

Sponsorship – Identifies and secures corporate financial sponsorship for MCACHE programs and events. Develops and maintains relationships with organizations to secure financial support to enhance the organization’s brand visibility within MCACHE is also essential.
