The next MCACHE Community Engagement event will be on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and will be partnering with The Greening of Detroit to help plant trees in the community.
The Greening of Detroit is a non-profit organization that focuses on enhancing the quality of life for Detroiters by planting trees, providing job training, and involving youth in the education of the natural environment. Since 1989 the organization has planted over 146,000 trees in the cities of Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park. By planting trees, they aim to improve quality of life, and public health, and provide environmental benefits such as reducing extreme heat, managing stormwater, and cleaning the air we breathe.
In partnership, we will assist with planting trees at the Optimist-Parkgrove Playground in Detroit!
This event is allowing for up to 20 spots and will fill quickly so please register as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you at this event!
