Creating Engagement Through Brain-Based Coaching: Holding Feedback Conversations That Support Personal Development And Growth

Purpose: Enable leaders to have better coaching conversations aligned with neuroscience.

 

Benefit: Through an analysis of research and practical experiences, participants will leave with a better understanding of how they can approach feedback conversations to create a more positive and engaging experience for all individuals.

 

Method: During the webinar we will explore the reason why these phrases can cause detrimental effects on confidence, motivation, and engagement. Participants will have the opportunity to practice how to modify statements like these to be more engaging and supportive.

·     “I’m surprised you didn’t know how to do this.”

·     “We’re going to be making some big changes around here soon.”

·     “I need to approve everything you do before you do it.”

Speakers:

Bryan Cutliff, PsyD, FACHE

Dr. Bryan Cutliff, FACHE is an organizational and leadership psychologist and is a Partner within S A Partners, a global strategy deployment and organization transformation consulting firm. Dr. Cutliff specializes in helping organizations leverage their strategic vision and use communication models to improve the safety and quality of the services rendered, deliver an exceptional customer experience, deepen relationships with employees, and achieve operational objectives.

As a business consultant his expertise includes organizational assessment, leadership development, personal and team development and coaching, conflict management and resolution, business negotiations, program facilitation, and change management. Within these areas, he has worked with front-line employees, regional, and national executives in his capacity as CEO to cascade the organization’s purpose while improving the quality and safety metrics throughout the hospitals in which he led.

Colin Scott

Colin is the President of the US business – S A Partners Inc. and supports several international clients, at a strategic level, with the development and deployment of Enterprise Excellence programs. He is also a mentor and coach to a range of senior industry leaders, supporting them to develop their leadership skills. Colin is a Master Lean Coach, a Chartered Engineer and has a degree in Manufacturing Systems. Colin is also an experienced Shingo workshop facilitator.

Prior to joining S A Partners in 2013, Colin was a Managing Director within the Aerospace and Automotive industry. Colin began his career as a 16-year-old apprentice and went on to be trained in Lean in Japan by Kawasaki. He is people-focused, practical but also brings a strategic mindset and outlook, highly valued by his clients.
